CLINICAL MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE

POST-SURGERY LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE
Following cosmetic surgery, it typically takes between 6 to 12 weeks for lymphatic channels to establish new connections, restore drainage pathways, and reduce swelling. To support this process, plastic surgeons often recommend manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) during the post-operative recovery phase. MLD can significantly expedite recovery by minimizing post-surgical swelling, decreasing fibrosis (scar tissue formation), aiding in pain management, reducing bruising, and potentially helping to prevent infections. REMEDIAL MASSAGE
I'm a qualified remedial massage therapist and after years of practice, my approach focuses on the release and opening of the connective tissue (fascia) and the subsequent release of myofascial trigger points caused by postural patterns, daily repetitive movements, stress, anxiety and trauma (physical and emotional). I use different techniques and magic tricks to help your body and nervous system return back home (homeostasis, where the healing begins...).
